Anastasia Prokayeva

Anastasia Prokayeva, known affectionately as Aся, is a 27-year-old journalist and paramedic associated with the volunteer medical battalion 'Hospitallers' in Ukraine. Born in Lysychansk, she pursued a degree in journalism at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, dedicating her early career to media outlets such as 'Gazeta.UA' and 'Liga'. With the onset of the full-scale invasion in 2022, she transitioned from reporting on the war to serving on the front lines as a paramedic, helping to evacuate and treat wounded soldiers. Aся has faced personal loss and serious injuries, yet she continues to balance her roles in journalism and emergency medical services, advocating for mental health support for those affected by the war.
