Anatoliy Bokun is a Belarusian labor leader and former mechanic known for his role as a co-chairman of the strike committee for the Belarusian potash producer 'Belaruskali.' He gained prominence for negotiating with international partners to halt contracts with 'Belaruskali' in protest against the repression of striking workers. After facing imprisonment for his activism during the 2020-2021 protests, he emigrated to the United States, where he applied for political asylum. Recently, he was placed in a U.S. immigration detention center as his asylum claim is being processed.
