André François
André François (1915–2005) was a renowned Franco-Romanian artist celebrated for his work as an illustrator, sculptor, and designer. Born in Timișoara, he moved to Paris in 1934, where he studied at the Academy of Art. François became known for his whimsical and ironic style, contributing illustrations to prestigious publications like 'Punch' and 'The New Yorker'. His career was tragically interrupted by a devastating fire in 2002, destroying much of his work.
