André Muzell

André Muzell is a cinematographer for Canal Factual RJ who was recently in the news after being attacked by armed traffickers while covering a police operation in Vila Aliança, Rio de Janeiro. During the incident, he was severely beaten, resulting in the loss of two teeth and significant damage to his jaw, and he reported that the assailants threatened him with death, referencing the notorious case of journalist Tim Lopes. Following the assault, Muzell launched an online fundraising campaign to replace approximately R$ 40,000 worth of stolen equipment, which included his camera and personal belongings.
