Andrea Respetor

Andrea Respetor, 54, is an English teacher and the community coordinator for Argentine immigrants in Karmiel, Israel, through the non-profit organization 'Habait.' Born and raised in Buenos Aires, she was deeply connected to the Jewish community there. After years of hesitance, economic challenges in Argentina prompted her family to immigrate to Israel in 2019. Despite the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which delayed their arrival, Andrea and her husband Jose eventually joined their children in Israel. Since moving, she has dedicated herself to helping fellow immigrants adjust and thrive in their new environment, organizing support and community activities that foster integration and connection.
