Andreas Lanz
Andreas Lanz (1739-1814) was a Swiss engineer known for his influential work on water management and land reclamation in the late 18th century. He proposed several solutions to address the flooding issues caused by the Linth River, including the ambitious canal project that would later be realized under the leadership of Hans Konrad Escher. Lanz's visionary ideas laid the groundwork for significant engineering projects that transformed the landscape and improved agricultural conditions in the affected regions.
