
Andreas Trembelas
Andreas Trembelas, known as Metropolitan of Konitsa, was a revered figure in the Greek Orthodox Church, born in Patras in 1939. He graduated from the Theological School of Athens in 1963 and began his ecclesiastical career as a deacon in 1968. Trembelas served diligently in various capacities within the Diocese of Dryinoupolis before becoming the Metropolitan of Konitsa in 1995. His leadership spanned three decades, during which he was known for his deep commitment to Orthodox faith, social issues, and the welfare of the Greek minority in Albania. He passed away at the age of 86 after a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual and community service that continues to inspire many.
