Andrew David Kenneth Young

Andrew David Kenneth Young, affectionately known as Dave, was an 82-year-old resident of Holyhead, Wales, and a passionate transport enthusiast who particularly loved railways and trams. He tragically became one of the victims of the Elevador da Glória disaster in Lisbon on September 3, 2023. Dave had dedicated his retirement to exploring historic railways and trams around the world, bringing immense joy to his life. Born in the early 1940s in Auchterarder, Scotland, he moved to Holyhead in 1980 and enjoyed a lengthy career as a customs officer. His family expressed comfort in knowing that his final moments were spent engaged in something he loved dearly.
