Andrew Hollis is a former Tauranga city councillor and the founder of Guardians of Gold, a bullion trading company that recently faced liquidation and receivership. Known as 'The Rock Doctor,' Hollis has a background in geology and attempted to enter the political arena, having run unsuccessfully in two byelections. His company, established to facilitate buying, selling, and investing in gold and silver, had been operational for less than a year before financial issues led to its collapse, leaving numerous creditors owed significant sums.
