Andrey Votinov

Andrey Votinov is a Russian businessman previously involved in high-level operations at Rosneft, Russia's state oil company. Allegations against him include masterminding a fraudulent land sublease scheme that embezzled over $1.7 million from the Tuapse Oil Refinery. In 2016, he was placed on an international wanted list for financial crimes, but in 2018, a UK court blocked his extradition to Russia, citing concerns over politically motivated prosecution. Recently, he has been in the news as he seeks to obtain Bahamian citizenship.
