Andri Portnow

Andri Portnow was a prominent Ukrainian lawyer and politician, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Justice under former President Viktor Yanukovych. He played a significant role in shaping Ukrainian legal reforms, which later faced criticism for fostering corruption and judicial abuses. Following Yanukovych's ousting in 2014, Portnow fled to Moscow and faced charges of treason related to the annexation of Crimea. He lived in Spain with his family until his assassination in a Madrid suburb, which raised questions about potential political or criminal motivations behind the act.
