Andriy Ihnatiuk

Andriy Ihnatiuk, known by his call sign 'Spider', is a prominent figure in the Azov regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, he became involved in nationalist movements from a young age and joined the military in 2014 amidst the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Over the years, he has risen through the ranks, serving in various capacities, and has been instrumental in establishing the traditions and moral framework within the Azov unit. His experience includes fierce battles, particularly the defense of Mariupol, and he spent a year in Russian captivity, returning to service in 2023. As of May 2025, he continues to serve, reflecting on his 11-year journey with Azov, emphasizing the importance of camaraderie and the ongoing fight for Ukraine's sovereignty.
