Andriy Vitrenko is a Ukrainian academic and politician who currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Education and Science. He earned his degree from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and later completed his candidate dissertation at Taras Shevchenko National University in 2005. His academic work has come under scrutiny for allegations of plagiarism and academic dishonesty, particularly regarding his dissertation on the advertising services market. In addition to his role in the ministry, Vitrenko has also been a member of the Kyiv City Council since 2020, representing the Servant of the People party.
