Aneta Svetieva is a prominent Macedonian sculptor, born in Bitola in 1944. She is celebrated for her innovative and complex artistic expressions that merge folklore and contemporary themes. Svetieva's work has been recognized in various international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale in 1997, showcasing her unique approach to sculpture. She has contributed significantly to the Macedonian art scene and has held academic roles, including a professorship at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje. A retrospective exhibition of her works is currently being held at the Daut Pasha Hamam, marking a significant acknowledgment of her artistic legacy.
