Ángel Aguilar

Ángel Aguilar is a dedicated advocate for the LGBTIQ+ migrant community, serving as the Protection and Integration Officer at Casa Frida in Nuevo León, Mexico. Following the suspension of funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Aguilar has worked tirelessly to secure local support and maintain essential services for displaced individuals. Under his leadership, Casa Frida has provided refuge and resources to around 250 LGBTIQ+ migrants, focusing on their emotional, psychological, and economic integration into society. Aguilar emphasizes resilience and community collaboration as key elements in the fight for the rights and well-being of these vulnerable populations.
