Ángela Castillo

Ángela Castillo is a veterinarian from the Universidad de la Salle and the founder of MiniOink Colombia, an organization dedicated to educating the public about the proper care and ownership of mini pigs. Concerned about the rising cases of abandoned mini pigs in Colombia, Castillo's initiative aims to combat the misinformation surrounding these animals, which are often misrepresented by breeders as being smaller than they actually grow. MiniOink not only focuses on education but also engages in the rescue and rehabilitation of these animals, addressing the challenges posed by the increasing number of abandoned mini pigs due to the misconception of their needs and behaviors.
