
Angela Hewitt
Angela Hewitt is a world-renowned Canadian pianist, celebrated for her interpretations of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Born in Ottawa in 1958, she began playing the piano at the age of three and won her first scholarship at five. Hewitt studied at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and the University of Ottawa, graduating at 18. Her international career took off after winning the Toronto International Bach Piano Competition in 1985. She has recorded numerous award-winning albums and is also known for her performances of Beethoven, Chopin, and Schumann. In addition to her concert career, Hewitt mentors young talents and holds masterclasses around the world.
