Ángela Llewellyn

Ángela Llewellyn is a 75-year-old former nurse from Pembrokeshire, Wales, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in November 2022 at the age of 73. Despite leading an active life and having recently completed a long-distance hike with her husband, she began to experience symptoms that she initially attributed to aging and recovery from knee surgery. Her diagnosis was a shock, as she had dedicated her career to caring for patients with similar conditions. Ángela's life has significantly changed since her diagnosis, but with the support of her husband, she is learning to navigate her new reality while managing her symptoms with medication.
