Angela Mattar

Angela Mattar is a 25-year-old Israeli citizen of Palestinian origin and a founding member of the grassroots organization Standing Together, which advocates for peace and social justice between Jewish and Palestinian citizens in Israel. Raised in the northern village of I’billin, her early experiences during conflicts instilled in her a deep understanding of the need for dialogue and cooperation. Despite personal challenges, including estrangement from her family due to her activism, she has focused on raising awareness and funds for marginalized communities, particularly in the Palestinian village of Masafer Yatta. Her commitment to peace is evident as she continues her medical studies while advocating for the rights of both Palestinians and Israelis amidst the ongoing conflict.
