Ângelo Delgado

Ângelo Delgado is a Portuguese writer and journalist, born in 1981 to Cape Verdean parents. He has recently published his second book, 'Foi o Preto,' which explores themes of racism in Portugal, particularly reflecting on the societal issues faced in the 1990s. Delgado's work addresses the unjust accusations faced by individuals based on their race, highlighting a troubling continuity in Portuguese society's attitude towards racism, which he argues has evolved but remains pervasive. In addition to his literary pursuits, he works as a copywriter in advertising and actively engages in discussions surrounding social justice and political issues in Angola and Guinea-Bissau.
