Anita McDonald, a former director of the Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Incopesca), has been identified as a key figure in a money laundering operation linked to a criminal organization known as the Clan del Caribe Sur, where she allegedly used her legal expertise to facilitate the legitimization of narcotics profits.
