
Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu
Better known as Mother Teresa, she was born in 1910 in Skopje and became a renowned Catholic nun and missionary. In 1950, she founded the Missionaries of Charity, an organization dedicated to helping the poor, sick, and orphaned, primarily in India. Her humanitarian work earned her numerous accolades, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Mother Teresa is celebrated for her compassion and selfless service, and she was canonized by Pope Francis in 2016.
