Ankit
Ankit is a youth from Kaithal, Haryana, who undertook the perilous 'dunki' route to the United States in search of better economic opportunities. He invested approximately ₹40-45 lakh, borrowing heavily in hopes of a promised quick journey that was supposed to take only 45 days. However, due to complications arising from disputes between agents, his journey extended to seven months. After finally crossing into the U.S., he was immediately detained and subsequently deported back to India. Now, Ankit finds himself back home with overwhelming debt and uncertainty about his future.
