Ankit Yadav

Ankit Yadav was a 24-year-old PhD scholar in chemistry at IIT Kanpur, who tragically took his own life in his hostel room. He had recently joined the institute in July 2024 as a recipient of a UGC fellowship, and was in his first semester of doctoral studies. His untimely death has raised concerns within the academic community, prompting inquiries into the reasons behind his decision to end his life.
