Anna Ansone is an emerging Latvian filmmaker known for her impactful storytelling and visually striking works. She graduated from the National Film School in Riga and the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. Her short films 'Klusā daba' and 'Can’t help myself' have gained significant recognition, including awards at esteemed festivals such as Oberhausen and the Riga International Film Festival. 'Summer Blues' marks her debut feature film, exploring themes of sisterhood, migration, and personal relationships, while showcasing the complexity of female independence.
