Anna Pyshnik

Anna Pyshnik is a Belarusian woman and former political prisoner who was sentenced to three years in prison for recording and sharing videos of Russian military movements during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Arrested in March 2022 in her hometown of Mozyr, Anna documented the presence of Russian forces, which she sent to independent media outlets. After serving her sentence, Anna relocated to Poland with her daughter, where she is adjusting to a new life after experiencing significant trauma from her imprisonment and the political repression in Belarus.
