Anne Lancien

Anne Lancien is a researcher at the International Observatory of Religion (CERI/Sciences Po) and has contributed significantly to the understanding of sexual abuse within the Church. She participated in the Independent Commission on Sexual Abuse in the Church (Ciase) and published a comparative study in 2023 analyzing various ecclesiastical commissions combating this issue globally. Her work critically assesses the responses of Pope Francis to the ongoing crisis of sexual violence, particularly in light of historical patterns of abuse within the Church.
