Annelien Van Bossuyt

Annelien Van Bossuyt is a Belgian politician and member of the Flemish nationalist party, the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA). She has served as the Minister of Asylum and Migration in the Belgian government, where she has been at the forefront of discussions regarding immigration policy in Europe. Recently, she led an initiative backed by 20 European countries calling for urgent measures to deport Afghan nationals living illegally in Europe, reflecting growing concerns over immigration and security issues in the wake of the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan.
