Annemarie Twomey

Annemarie Twomey is a senior Garda officer who was appointed as the senior investigating officer in the case of missing woman Tina Satchwell in August 2021. Her role became pivotal in revisiting the circumstances surrounding Satchwell's disappearance, particularly concerning the lack of invasive searches at the home of her husband, Richard Satchwell, soon after her disappearance in 2017. Twomey's investigation led to the discovery of Satchwell's remains in October 2023, and she provided critical testimony regarding the procedural decisions made during the initial stages of the investigation.
