Anniina Ljokkoi

Anniina Ljokkoi is a Finnish woman living in Estonia, who, after initially arriving as an exchange student in 2007 to study Estonian language and literature at the University of Tartu, has made Estonia her home for the past 18 years. She translates Estonian literature into Finnish and teaches the Finnish language to doctors moving to Finland. Currently, she is writing a personal book about her ancestors from her father's side, exploring their stories and heritage, particularly focusing on the region of Impilahti in Karelia, which was devastated after the wars.
