Ansar Musakhanov

Ansar Musakhanov was a prominent Kazakhstani public figure and politician, born on July 31, 1966, in the Almaty region. He began his career in the agricultural sector and held various administrative roles, including the akim (mayor) of the Zhambyl and Karasai districts. Musakhanov served as the akim of Almaty region from 2011 to 2014 and was a senator in the Parliament from 2014 to 2020. He was well-respected for his dedication to public service and was awarded the Order of Kurmet for his contributions. He passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2025.
