Antanas Merkys

Antanas Merkys served as the Prime Minister of Lithuania during a critical period leading up to the Soviet occupation in 1940. He was involved in diplomatic efforts with the Soviet Union, which ultimately resulted in the acceptance of an ultimatum that allowed Soviet troops to enter Lithuania.
