Antoine Icihagazeko

Antoine Icihagazeko is an activist working in the field of gender-based violence (GBV) and is the head of the Burundian Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (RBP+) in Bubanza. He has been vocal about the rising cases of economic violence against women in the region, reporting that he receives multiple victims each month who share harrowing accounts of their struggles, often exacerbated by the silence and inaction of local authorities.
