
Antoine Kaburahe
Antoine Kaburahe is a Burundian journalist and media activist, known for founding the independent news outlet Iwacu. A graduate of the École Supérieure de Journalisme in Paris and Lille, he has made significant contributions to journalism and the promotion of press freedom in Burundi. Kaburahe was forced into exile in 2015 after being falsely accused of involvement in an attempted coup, and he has since become a prominent advocate for journalists' rights and freedom of expression, earning recognition as a member of Reporters Without Borders. His work continues to influence the media landscape in Burundi and beyond.
