Antoine Lahad
Antoine Lahad was a Lebanese military officer who served as the commander of the South Lebanon Army (SLA), a pro-Israeli militia during the Lebanese Civil War. Lahad led the SLA from 1984 until 2000, when Israel withdrew from southern Lebanon, and was known for his collaboration with Israeli forces against Hezbollah and other groups. Following the collapse of the SLA, he relocated to Israel, where he was granted citizenship. Lahad's legacy is often viewed through the lens of his controversial role in the complex geopolitical landscape of Lebanon and the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.
