
Anton Sikharulidze
Anton Sikharulidze is a former Russian figure skater, celebrated for his achievements in pair skating. He won a gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City alongside his partner Elena Berezhnaya, and he also earned a silver medal at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano. Over his career, Sikharulidze and Berezhnaya claimed multiple titles, including two World Championships and two European Championships. Following his competitive career, he transitioned into politics, serving as a deputy in the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly and later in the State Duma, where he chaired the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports. Recently, Sikharulidze was elected as the president of the Figure Skating Federation of Russia.
