
Antoni Garrallà
Antoni Garrallà, former mayor of La Massana, passed away after a long illness. His political career spanned from 1995 to 2003, during which he initiated key projects such as a feasibility study to protect the Comapedrosa area. Before his tenure as mayor, he served as deputy general syndic from 1985 to 1989. Beyond politics, Garrallà was an entrepreneur, owning the iconic Hotel Rutllan and promoting tourism through the construction of a cable car connecting La Massana to the Pal ski resort. He was also involved with the Andorra Ski Club and the Andorran Olympic Committee. Despite stepping back from public life in recent years due to health issues, he remained connected to his businesses, managed by his nephews.
