Antoni Tejero

Antoni Tejero is a former Spanish military officer who is best known for leading the attempted coup d'état on February 23, 1981, commonly referred to as '23-F.' During the coup, he and his followers stormed the Spanish Parliament in an attempt to overthrow the government, a significant event in Spain's transition to democracy after Franco's dictatorship. Tejero's actions were met with widespread condemnation, and he was subsequently arrested and imprisoned for his role in the coup.
