Antonina dos Santos

Antonina dos Santos is a prominent scientist and the coordinator of the GelAvista project, which monitors gelatinous organisms along the Portuguese coast. Recently, she has been in the news for alerting the public about an extraordinary number of sightings of the Portuguese man o' war (caravela-portuguesa) along the western coast of Portugal, attributed to the effects of post-tropical cyclone Erin.
