António Gandra de Almeida

António Gandra de Almeida is a prominent Portuguese medical professional who served as the executive director of the Serviço Nacional de Saúde (SNS) from May 2024 to January 2025. He has been in the news due to allegations concerning the authorization of increased hourly payments for medical services provided by himself while he was in office. Gandra D'Almeida has publicly denied any wrongdoing, asserting that he did not personally benefit from the payment increase and that his authorization was a routine procedural matter.
