
Antonio María Pineda
Antonio María Pineda was a Dominican diplomat and representative who sought assistance from Simón Bolívar in the early 1820s to gain independence for the Dominican Republic. He was sent to negotiate on behalf of José Núñez de Cáceres but ultimately found himself meeting with General Páez instead, as Bolívar was preoccupied with his military campaigns.
