Antonio Toni Herceg
Antonio Toni Herceg, a dedicated soldier and son of renowned Croatian scientist Zdenko Herceg, tragically lost his life on May 6, 2025, in eastern Ukraine. Known for his deep love for his Croatian heritage and Christian values, Toni served as an officer in the French army, participating in peace missions worldwide. He later joined the Ukrainian military, where he heroically protected his fellow soldiers during combat, ultimately sacrificing his life to save them. His funeral was marked by military honors and ceremonies in both Ukraine and France.
