Anuncio Martí Méndez is a Paraguayan political figure and co-founder of the Patria Libre (PPL) party, which advocates for communist ideologies. He has been implicated in serious criminal activities, most notably the kidnapping of María Edith Bordón de Debernardi in 2001. After fleeing Paraguay to seek political asylum in Brazil, Martí and his associates, including Juan Arrom and Víctor Colmán, have faced extradition requests from the Paraguayan government as they have been living in exile in various countries, including Finland, since 2019.
