Anush Pelpita

Anush Pelpita, the former Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, was recently in the news for being remanded in custody by the Colombo Chief Magistrate for allegedly accumulating over 46 million rupees in unexplained assets within a two-year period. The bribery commission presented evidence suggesting that Pelpita had failed to adequately explain the sources of his wealth, leading to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.
