Aolish Gormley

Aolish Gormley is a mother from County Sligo, Ireland, who runs a preschool and works in an out-of-hours adult mental health support service called Solace. She is an advocate for improved postnatal care and mental health support for mothers, having developed postnatal depression herself after the birth of her second child. Gormley founded a peer-led maternal mental health project, Ardú, and is set to launch the Year of Care campaign to call for twelve months of postnatal support for mothers, highlighting the need for systemic change in maternal healthcare.
