Aoun Diab

Aoun Diab is the Iraqi Minister of Water Resources, actively involved in addressing the country's severe water scarcity issues. He has been instrumental in negotiations with Turkey to enhance bilateral cooperation on water management, especially in light of Iraq receiving only 30% of its actual water needs. Under his leadership, the Ministry aims to implement sustainable water management practices and improve internal water use efficiency to mitigate the impacts of drought on agriculture and the environment.
