Aquiles Lanza

Aquiles Lanza was a Uruguayan politician and member of the left-wing coalition, known for his brief tenure as the mayor of Montevideo in 1984. He started his administration with a strong social focus, implementing an emergency food program and housing initiatives for impoverished areas, but his time in office was tragically cut short by his unexpected death just nine months after taking office.
