Ariadna Pinto

Ariadna Pinto was a 20-year-old Venezuelan woman who was detained and accused of terrorism in the context of protests following the July 2024 presidential elections in Tinaquillo, Cojedes state. She suffered from diabetes and hypertension, and her health deteriorated significantly during her unjust detention. Despite her eventual release on December 7, 2024, Pinto’s health had been severely compromised, leading to her hospitalization multiple times before her tragic death on May 10, 2025. Her case highlights the severe human rights violations and the dire health conditions faced by political prisoners in Venezuela.
