Arie Dorst

Arie Dorst, born in 1933 in Lviv, Ukraine, is a Holocaust survivor who experienced the horrors of World War II firsthand. He and his mother survived by hiding in a basement during the Nazi occupation, enduring immense hardship before eventually reuniting with his father after the war. A distinguished physician, Dorst served in the Israel Defense Forces as a doctor and became a pioneer in transplant surgery in Israel, significantly advancing the field throughout his career.
