Aristion was a tyrant of Athens during the time of the Mithridatic Wars, known for his allegiance to Mithridates VI Eupator. He opposed Roman forces led by Sulla and retreated to the Acropolis during the Roman siege of Athens in 86 BC, ultimately leading to the city's destruction.
